The Spazio Plus Arcobaleno 2.0 Project strengthens the services provided by the Italian Red Cross (CRI) for the LGBTQIA+ population in the Metropolitan Area of Rome, supporting their social and labour-market inclusion.
The project builds on previous experience, with the aim of continuing to provide specialized assistance and counselling across the territory.
The service offers psychological counselling, legal guidance, social service support, tutoring for training and job placement, and cultural mediation. Each beneficiary is welcomed at the service desk with the objective of designing a personalized pathway towards social and professional reintegration, aimed at regaining or acquiring useful skills to facilitate entry into the labour market and to develop the prerequisites needed to face it with confidence and responsibility.
Financial resources are also made available to support professional development, in the form of internships, training grants, or employment grants, depending on individual needs. The project also includes training pathways and awareness-raising workshops for public services and companies, based on previous experiences, with the goal of strengthening the local network and improving responses to the support and professional development needs of LGBTQIA+ people.
The project over the years
In 2024, the project “Spazio Plus Arcobaleno” inaugurated a multifunctional service open to the public, where intake, guidance, and training activities are carried out.
